Dr Andy Smith

Dr. Andy Smith is an accomplished professional in the field of higher education, currently serving as Quality and Standards Manager, as well as Standards and Frameworks Manager at The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education since January 2018. Prior to this, Dr. Smith held significant leadership roles at the University of South Wales, including Associate Head of the School of Music and Performance and Associate Head of the School of Media. An influential academic, Dr. Smith was also the Academic Subject Leader for Music, Performance & Digital Media, overseeing various BA and MA programs. Earlier positions include Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching and Senior Lecturer roles at the University of Wales, Newport, Bath Spa University, and the University of Reading. Dr. Smith earned a PhD in Drama & Theatre Studies from the University of Glamorgan and a BA in Drama from Aberystwyth University.
