Marisa Kwek

Marisa Kwek has over 23 years of experience in graphic design and art direction. Marisa currently holds the position of Senior Art Director at The Quarto Group since November 2021. Previously, they worked as a Freelance Art Director, where they independently sourced and art directed a team of designers, photographers, and stylists to create high-quality reference books and cookbooks. From 2014 to 2018, Marisa held the position of Senior Art Director/Art Director at Weldon Owen Publishing, where they managed the creation of lifestyle reference books and cookbooks, collaborating with authors and in-house editors, and supervising various creative professionals. Prior to that, they worked as a freelance Art Director under their own company, Marisa Kwek Design, and as an Art Director at Weldon Owen Publishing. Marisa began their career as a Graphic Designer at Weldon Owen Education and also worked as a Graphic Designer at Verdict Communications.

Marisa Kwek completed their Bachelor of Design in Visual Communications from Victoria University of Wellington. Marisa attended the university from 1994 to 1998.
