Colin Edgar is a seasoned professional in sports event management with extensive experience in golf-related roles. Currently serving as Rules Executive at The R&A since November 2019, Colin supports the Project Manager in organizing The Open Championship and AIG Women's Open. Previous experience includes working as a Tournament Runner for the 2019 Solheim Cup with IMG and participating in the inaugural European Championships as an Event Runner with the European Tour. Colin holds a Bachelor's degree in Sports Studies and has completed an MSc in Sport Management at the University of Stirling, where skills in event planning, sport finance, and research methods were developed. Additional roles include bartending and assistant golf professional at Elderslie Golf Club, as well as course mapping for Shotscope technology.
