Shawn Gaylord

Shawn Gaylord is the current Principal at The Raben Group. Shawn has held this position since September 2013. Prior to this, they were the Director of Public Policy at GLSEN from February 2009 to September 2013. Shawn has also served as the Director of Chapter Organizing at GLSEN from November 2006 to February 2009, and as a Policy Analyst at GLSEN from October 2004 to November 2005.

From October 2013 to May 2018, Gaylord was Advocacy Counsel at Human Rights First. Shawn also served as Co-Chair of the OUTfront Steering Committee from December 1997 to December 2005, and as Deputy Director of SMYAL from December 1997 to December 2000.

Gaylord has also worked at Amnesty International in a variety of positions. Shawn served as Acting Regional Director from May 2002 to November 2004, and as Office Administrator from December 1992 to December 1996.

Shawn Gaylord graduated from the University at Buffalo with a BA in English. Shawn then attended Georgetown University Law Center, where they earned their JD.
