Itzik Turgeman

Itzik Turgeman has a diverse and impactful work experience spanning multiple organizations and sectors. Itzik began their career in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) where they held the position of electronics engineer and eventually became the Head of the Department of Production Technology. Following their military service, they joined the Israel Ministry of Defense as the Head of the Security-Society Branch. Itzik then transitioned into the nonprofit sector, serving as the President and CEO of the Friends of Atidim Association, where they helped identify and support high-potential students from low socio-economic backgrounds in pursuing careers in science and engineering. Currently, Itzik is the Director General of the Rashi Foundation, where they lead the development of strategic initiatives aimed at addressing social inequality and promoting excellence in education, particularly in Israel's periphery. Throughout their career, Itzik has championed programs that empower bright individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds and contributed to narrowing socio-economic gaps in Israel.

Itzik Turgeman completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in 1981. Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree in Quality Assurance and Reliability at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and completed it in 1986. Later, they went on to receive a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in 2000.
