Irina Obushtarova

Irina Obushtarova has a diverse work experience in various industries. Irina is currently the Co-founder and CEO of The Recursive, a position they have held since February 2021. Additionally, they are a Member of the Board of Advisors for Entrepreneurs in class, starting in October 2021.

In 2020, they were a Member and Ambassador for Power of BG. From February 2019 to February 2021, Irina served as the Managing Director of Trending Topics SEE. Prior to this, they worked at Trivadis from October 2016 to January 2019, holding the role of Inbound Sales & Marketing // biGenius.

Before that, Irina was the VP Business Development at Kratos Technology from April 2015 to July 2018. Irina also held the position of Sales Marketing Manager // BriefButler® at HPC Dual from June 2015 to June 2016.

In 2014, Irina co-founded and served as the Executive Buddy of WelcomeBuddy, a platform that assists expats in Austria. Irina also worked as the Head of Sales at Kobza Media Group from May 2014 to September 2014. Furthermore, they gained experience as a Sales Representative at R9 Regional TV Austria GmbH from January 2014 to September 2014.

Throughout their career, Irina has demonstrated expertise in entrepreneurship, advisory roles, business development, sales, and marketing.

Irina Obushtarova obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Publizistik- und Kommunikationswissenschaft from the University of Vienna, where they attended from 2007 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended the English Language School "Plovdiv" from 2001 to 2006, focusing on German Language and Literature. In addition to their education, Irina has obtained several certifications, including Introduction to PPC with Google AdWords and Bing Ads, Scrum: Advanced, Scrum: The Basics, ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, and Hubspot® Inbound Marketing Certification.
