Stephanie Kersten-Johnston has over 10 years of experience in sustainability, circular economy, and corporate responsibility communications. Stephanie is currently the Vice President of Innovation at The Recycling Partnership, where they lead efforts to transform recycling programs and promote a circular economy. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Circular Ventures at The Recycling Partnership, working with companies to improve packaging sustainability. Stephanie has also held positions at Columbia University, where they worked as an Adjunct Professor, and the Circular Economy Club, where they organized local events and connected professionals working in the field. Stephanie has experience in sustainable business at The HEINEKEN Company and Agenda NYC, where they supported clients in developing sustainability communications strategies. Stephanie began their career at Addison Group London, advising clients on sustainability and corporate responsibility communications. Stephanie also worked as a Partnerships Manager at Tesco, managing loyalty partnerships for the Tesco Clubcard scheme. Stephanie started their career as a Consultant at ReputationInc, where they developed customer and stakeholder insight programs for corporate communications and PR content.
Stephanie Kersten-Johnston obtained their Bachelor's Degree from the University of Oxford in Politics, Philosophy & Economics (PPE) between 2003 and 2006. Following that, they completed their MA in Near and Middle Eastern Studies at SOAS University of London from 2006 to 2007.

Since 2014, we have diverted 1 billion pounds of new recyclables from landfills, avoided more than 948,000 metric tons of greenhouse gases, and driven significant reductions in targeted contamination rates.
