Shellie McMillon Velasco Lmsw

Shellie McMillon Velasco, LMSW, currently serves as a Program Officer at The Rees-Jones Foundation since November 2022. Prior to this role, Shellie held multiple positions at Alliance For Children from September 2007 to November 2022, including Chief Program Officer, Director of Community Engagement, Director of Centers and Education, and Center Coordinator. Additionally, Shellie was an Adjunct Instructor at Texas Christian University from August 2017 to May 2019, teaching a course in child maltreatment and advocacy. Earlier experience includes roles as a Social Worker at London Academy and a Case Manager at Covenant Kids. Shellie holds a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Behavioral Science (BBS) in Speech-Language Pathology from Hardin-Simmons University.
