Dr Michael R. Birkett

Dr Michael Birkett started their work experience in 1997 as the Housing Services Manager at Liverpool Housing Action Trust. Dr Michael then moved on to become the Housing Services Manager at The Aspire Group in 2000. In 2003, they joined The Calico Group as the Director of Housing and Regeneration, and later became the Chief Executive in 2006. In 2014, Dr Birkett became the Group Chief Executive at The Regenda Group, where they are currently working.

Dr Birkett attained a Doctor of Social Science degree from the University of Bristol in 2011. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Leicester in 2002. In 1994, they received a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Housing Studies from The University of Salford. Dr Michael obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Social Sciences with Studies in North America from The University of Salford in 1991. Lastly, they studied Political Science at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, USA, from 1989 to 1990.
