Karen Whitney

Karen Whitney currently serves as a Senior Consultant at The Registry and AASCU Consulting, where problem-solving and priority-achieving advice is provided to higher education leaders. Additionally, Karen functions as a Leadership Consultant for Academic Search and as a Content Consultant and Leadership Coach for Academic Impressions. With a rich background in higher education administration, Karen has held significant positions such as Interim Chancellor at both University of Illinois Springfield and Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education, and President of Clarion University. Karen’s earlier roles include Vice Chancellor for Student Life at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis and Associate Vice President for Student Life at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a Master's in Public Administration and a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Houston. Furthermore, Karen is a certified executive coach from the Center for Executive Coaching.
