Maureen Martin

Administrative Assistant at The Regulatory Assistance Project

Maureen Martin is a member of the RAP administration team, supporting RAP staff globally. She plans and executes conferences and events for the U.S. team and the organization as a whole. Ms. Martin provides organizational resources for long-term and short-term efforts, such as the Mid-Atlantic Distributed Resources Initiative (MADRI) and Finding Common Ground, a series of conferences bringing together consumer and environmental advocates. She is the main point of contact for RAP’s board of directors, handling their meetings, information packets, and minutes. She also aids RAP’s international travelers in the renewal of passports and visa applications. Ms. Martin is a certified Microsoft Office User Specialist which allows her to support staff with Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. She establishes and maintains vendor relationships at the Montpelier headquarters with an eye toward efficiency and fiscal responsibility. She is RAP’s concierge and go-to person.

Ms. Martin brings to RAP 20 years of office experience. She has supported elected officials in state government and c-suite executives at wind turbine manufacturer Northern Power Systems, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, and Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, where she developed expertise in the areas of public relations, investor services, and communications. Ms. Martin also ran a freelance writing business for several years, providing writing, proofing, and editing services, as well as newsletter and brochure production.

Maureen earned her bachelor’s degree in English from St. Michael’s College in Vermont.
