Ruth Hare

Publications Coordinator at The Regulatory Assistance Project

Ruth Hare contributes to RAP’s public outreach efforts by managing the development, editing, and production of publications, policy briefs, and blogs. She manages RAP’s website and maintains internal systems.

Before coming to RAP in early 2018, Ms. Hare spent more than 25 years in journalism. Most recently, she was news editor for the independent nonprofit news site VTDigger.org. The majority of her career was spent with newspapers in Vermont and Indiana, filling various roles that included Sunday editor and news editor. She has also contributed to the development and editing of books on Vermont history, the state’s town meeting tradition, former presidential candidate Howard Dean, and the Long Trail hiking path.

Ms. Hare has a degree in English from Western Michigan University.
