Deborah Miller has a long and varied work experience. Deborah began their career in 1993 as a Research Associate at Howard Hughes Medical Institute - UT Southwestern Medical Center - Dallas, where they established a campus-wide Oligonucleotide Synthesis Core lab and a Cyclic Nucleotide Radioimmunoassay Core lab. Her expertise in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Cell Biology included oligo synthesis, DNA sequencing, RNA isolation, in situ hybridization, RACE, Northern, Southern, and Western blotting, qPCR and PCR, cell culture, preparation of chemically competent cells, plasmid transformations, protein assays and purification, SDS-PAGE, immunoblotting and immunoprecipitations, enzyme assays, radioimmunoassays and radioiodinations, cell culture, transient and stable cell transfections, direct and indirect fluorescent antibody techniques.
In 2006, Deborah Miller moved to UT Southwestern Medical Center - Green Center for Reproductive Biology Sciences as the Director of Laboratory Operations / Laboratory Manager / Research Scientist. Deborah specialized in establishing medical research start-up labs and had extensive experience in evaluating highly technical equipment and negotiating purchase terms with major life science vendors.
Since 2013, Deborah Miller has been working as the Business Development Manager for Remi, the nation’s leading provider of Equipment Maintenance Management Programs. In this role, they are responsible for laboratory, hospital, and IT equipment service contract sales for a large territory, including all universities within the University of Texas system, state through local government agencies, research institutions, hospitals, healthcare facilities, and commercial organizations.
Deborah Miller received their B.S. in Biology from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
