Erica Ta

Erica Ta is a Geospatial Analyst at The Research Corporation of the University of Hawai'i, specializing in the analysis of geospatial datasets for coastal monitoring and sea level rise research since December 2021. Previous roles include processing in situ GPS data and aerial imagery for conservation projects as a Geospatial Data Assistant and supporting students in geospatial work during tenure as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Tropical Conservation Biology & Environmental Science from the University of Hawaii at Hilo and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of California, Berkeley. Additional experience encompasses data analysis and GIS technician roles at reputable organizations such as Apple and NASA, along with undergraduate research focused on coastal vegetation and wetland habitats.
