Hanna Mounce is an experienced conservation professional currently serving as the Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project Manager at The Research Corporation of the University of Hawai'i since January 2006, coordinating efforts to recover endangered forest birds and restore ecosystems on Maui. In addition, Mounce is the Founder and Executive Director of NA KOA MANU CONSERVATION INC, a non-profit organization established to enhance conservation initiatives on the island. Previous roles include Wildlife Research Technician III at ABR Inc. Environmental Research & Services, and various positions with the U.S. Forest Service and Point Blue Conservation Science, focusing on avian research and surveys. Mounce holds a Ph.D. in Conservation and Ecology from the University of Kent and a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology from Humboldt State University.
