Valencia L. Waller

Valencia L. Waller, MSc, is an experienced epidemiologist currently serving at the CDC Foundation and the Research Corporation of the University of Hawai'i since April 2022 and July 2023, respectively. Previously, Waller held positions at Michigan Medicine as an Infection Prevention Analyst and Health Services Research Associate, and worked as a Graduate Assistant at Georgetown University's Georgetown Scholars Program. Additional research experience includes serving as a Principal Researcher at the Vector Control Research Centre in India and an intern with the Smithsonian Institution's Reptile Discovery Center. Waller's earlier roles include serving as Awards Coordinator for the American Society for Microbiology and a Native English Instructor at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education. Waller's academic background includes a Master of Science in Global Health with a focus on Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Georgetown University, postbaccalaureate studies at American University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan.
