Amie Kaplin, PMP, MBA has a diverse work experience that spans over various industries and roles. Amie is currently the Deputy Executive Director at AIM Photonics, where they oversee administrative operations, customer engagement, and consortium membership. Amie played a crucial role in securing a significant $321M award to further the institute's mission in advanced integrated photonics and photonic-electronic packaging R&D. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Program Management at AIM Photonics, leading the implementation of the portfolio management strategy.

Before joining AIM Photonics, Amie worked at The Research Foundation for SUNY as the Assistant Vice President of Program Management Support. In this role, they provided leadership and program management expertise for the American Institute for Manufacturing Integrated Photonics (AIM Photonics) and directed the Project Management Office for NY CREATES. Amie also previously established and implemented a portfolio management framework for AIM Photonics during their time as the Director of Program Management.

Amie's career began at SEMATECH, where they served as the Manager of the Program Management Office (PMO) from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they worked at Experian Marketing Services, where they held roles as a Database Marketing Project Lead and a Database Technical Analyst.

Throughout their career, Amie has demonstrated a strong aptitude for program management and portfolio oversight, particularly in the field of photonics. Amie'swork experience reflects their ability to lead and manage complex projects and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Amie Kaplin, PMP, MBA, began their education in 1998 at Berkshire Community College, where they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S) degree in Computer Information Systems. Amie then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Management - Information Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - The Lally School of Management, completing their studies in 2002.

In 2012, Amie obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Continuing their education, they enrolled at the University at Albany, SUNY in 2014, specializing in New Venture Development. After two years of study, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2016.

Amie's education has focused on computer information systems, management, and project management, paving the way for their professional career.
