Duane Mysliwiec, CISSP has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Duane is currently serving as the Associate Director of Information Technology Operations, Infrastructure & Security at The Research Foundation for SUNY. Prior to this, Duane worked as the Director of IS, Technology Management at ALBANY MED HEALTH SYSTEM, where they managed staff across four hospital campuses and led various hospital projects. Duane also served as the Director of Technology & Security at CapitalCare Medical Group, LLC, where they managed a team of Network & Systems administrators and ensured compliance with HIPAA and PCI regulatory requirements. Earlier in their career, Duane held roles as a Network Manager, Sr. Systems & Networking Engineer at P&J Computers, Inc., an East Coast Network Analyst & Technology Manager at International Thompson Publishing, and a Network & Tech Services Manager at Adept Network Technologies. Throughout their career, Duane has demonstrated expertise in information technology operations, infrastructure, security, and project management.
Duane Mysliwiec, CISSP, earned an Associate of Science degree in Computer Science from the State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill from 1985 to 1987. In December 2017, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)². Duane also completed the CISSP Cert Prep: 1 Security and Risk Management and CISSP Cert Prep: 2 Asset Security courses from LinkedIn in October 2016.

The Research Foundation for the State University of New York (RF) is the largest, most comprehensive university-connected research foundation in the country. It exists to serve the State University of New York (SUNY) by providing essential sponsored programs administration and innovation support services to SUNY faculty, students and staff who perform life-changing research in life sciences and medicine; engineering and nanotechnology; physical sciences and energy; social sciences; and computer and information sciences.
