Jin Z. Wallner is an accomplished engineer specializing in integrated photonics and has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. Currently serving as an Integrated Photonics PDK Engineer at The Research Foundation for SUNY since December 2019, Jin Z. Wallner previously worked as a Ground Rule Validation Engineer at GLOBALFOUNDRIES from July 2016 to December 2019 and held various engineering roles at IBM from January 2007 to July 2016, including Compact Model Engineer and Process Integration Engineer. Jin Z. Wallner holds a PhD in MEMS and micro fabrication from Michigan Technological University (2001-2006) and earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on communication, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, both from Zhejiang University (1993-2000).

The Research Foundation for the State University of New York (RF) is the largest, most comprehensive university-connected research foundation in the country. It exists to serve the State University of New York (SUNY) by providing essential sponsored programs administration and innovation support services to SUNY faculty, students and staff who perform life-changing research in life sciences and medicine; engineering and nanotechnology; physical sciences and energy; social sciences; and computer and information sciences.
