Keith Kaplan

Associate Director- Strategic Projects at The Research Foundation for SUNY

Keith Kaplan has a diverse work experience. Keith started their career at KPMG as an Audit Senior from 1989 to 1992. Keith then worked as a Senior Internal Auditor at Viacom from 1992 to 1994. From 1994 to 1997, they served as Manager of Higher Education Accounting at Simon and Schuster, followed by a brief stint as Business Operations Manager at Addison Wesley. Keith joined Pearson Education in 1997 as Director of Corporate Accounting until 2004. Keith then became the Director of Internal Audit at Mechanical Technology, Inc from 2004 to 2007. Keith later joined the Research Foundation of SUNY, where they held various roles including Internal Control Coordinator from 2007 to 2008 and Associate Director of the Finance Office from 2008 to 2019. Keith also had a role as Associate Director of Strategic Projects at The Research Foundation for SUNY from 2008. Most recently, they served as the Interim Vice President for Business Affairs at State University of New York College at Potsdam from 2020 to 2021.

Keith Kaplan attended Hunter College High School, but no specific dates were provided for this education. Later, from 1985 to 1989, they attended NYU Stern School of Business, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. After that, from 2005 to 2008, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in General Business from the University at Albany, SUNY. Lastly, from 2014 to 2016, they completed a Certificate of Graduate Study in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the same university.
