Domestic Violence Shelter Worker at The Retreat

Ariel Tello is a dedicated professional with experience in domestic violence support, customer service, and research. Currently serving as a Domestic Violence Shelter Worker at The Retreat since December 2020, Ariel provides non-emergency assistance and ensures client safety while answering hotline calls for resources and support. Previously, Ariel was a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks, where responsibilities included task delegation and training partners. As a Xerox Engineering Research Fellow at the Computer Vision Lab, Ariel contributed to the development of a web application and improved deep learning models for the YouCook project. Additionally, as a Research Assistant in the Internalizing Disorders and Emotional Adjustment Lab, data was entered using SPSS for a study on adolescent emotional health. Ariel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Rochester and has international educational experience from IES Abroad and St. Petersburg State University.
