Joe Young's work experience begins in 2009 when they worked as a Building Administrator & Leasing Specialist for the Richmond Economic Development Authority (EDA) - RVAWorks. During this time, they assisted the Director of Operations in managing a nine-story office building, implementing improvements in marketing strategy, leasing processes, community outreach, and building efficiency.

In 2011, Joe joined The Richmond Group USA as an Account Executive in the Manufacturing Division, where they worked until 2013. Joe then became the Director of the Manufacturing Division until 2017, and subsequently served as the Vice President for Manufacturing & Private Equity Markets until 2021. In their role as Vice President, they focused on building long-term relationships with manufacturing, industrial, and private equity organizations, working closely with senior leadership on critical search needs.

Currently, Joe Young is the Division President - Growth Practice / Industrials, Materials, Infrastructure & Private Equity at The Richmond Group USA. In this role, they lead a high-performing team in driving and building growth initiatives across client organizations, engaging with key decision-makers and C-suite leaders on various talent engagement offerings such as organizational turnarounds, talent upgrades, compensation benchmarking, and division/team build-outs. Joe also oversees commercial transformation, lean business system deployment, acquisition integrations, and other strategic talent initiatives.

Joe Young, CSAM holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition to their degree, they also obtained a certification as a Certified Senior Account Manager (CSAM) from MRINetwork in July 2016.
