Fatima M. Smith, MSW, currently serves as Chief Deputy Clerk for Chesterfield County and has extensive experience in various roles focused on advocacy, education, and community engagement. As the Founder of Collective 365, Fatima fosters investment in Black and Brown communities through grant funding and support. Additionally, Fatima is an impactful speaker for The Rise Journey, offering workshops on inclusivity and burnout, and operates FMS Speaks, a consulting agency aimed at creating safer spaces for difficult conversations. Previous academic appointments include Assistant Professor and Director of Field Education at Virginia Union University, where Fatima also taught a course on violence against women. Additional roles span directorships at the YWCA of Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth University, contributing to advocacy for survivors of violence and implementing community outreach initiatives. Fatima holds an MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BS in Administration of Justice from George Mason University.
