Nadda Warshanna

Graduate Clinician at The River School

Nadda Warshanna is a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with extensive experience working with children, particularly in enhancing communication and feeding development for those aged birth to 9 years. Nadda has been actively involved with SPEECHKIDS, LLC and Empower Therapy Group, PC since July 2018, providing individualized interventions and facilitating social skills groups for children with autism and communication disorders. Additional roles as a Graduate Clinician at The George Washington University and The River School further developed competencies in a range of disorders including pediatric speech and language issues and services for Deaf/Hard of Hearing children. Nadda’s educational background includes a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Mary's College of Maryland.

The River School

A premier educational program for children 18 months through Grade 3 in Northwest Washington, DC. The River School’s innovative educational model pairs a master’s level educator and a speech language pathologist in each classroom, and focuses on language, literacy and social development. Classroom practice emphasizes experiential and collaborative learning, using thematic curriculum to seamlessly integrate literacy, math, science, drama, music, art, physical education and yoga. The River School’s unique inclusion program is internationally acclaimed. Most students (85% or more) are children with normal hearing; each classroom includes a few children with hearing loss who use cochlear implants or hearing aids. The teaching team supports all of the children in the classroom, with every student greatly benefiting from the rich educational experience.
