Mark Lloyd is an experienced leader in freshwater ecosystem conservation with a focus on community engagement and sustainable practices. Since August 2019, Mark has served as the Chief Executive of The Rivers Trust, overseeing a national movement dedicated to protecting and enhancing river environments alongside over 60 member Trusts across the UK and Ireland. Prior to this role, Mark held the position of Chief Executive at Angling Trust & Fish Legal from January 2009 to June 2019, an organization that represents all anglers in England. Mark's earlier experience includes serving as Executive Director of the Anglers' Conservation Association from March 2005 to December 2008, where significant organizational transformations were achieved, and as Chief Executive of Thames21 from 1994 to 2005, where Mark was a volunteer founder and continued to lead the organization. Mark holds an MSc in Environmental Water Management from Cranfield University and a BA in Geography from the University of Oxford.
