Rebecca Furness

Rebecca Furness is an experienced project manager currently leading initiatives at The Rivers Trust. Previously, Rebecca served as a Programme Officer at the North East Local Enterprise Partnership, where focus was on delivering the Innovation Programme to enhance business investment in the region. Additionally, Rebecca chaired the Board of Trustees at RSPCA Sunderland, Hartlepool and South Tyneside, overseeing the development of a five-year strategic plan. Earlier consultancy work at the National Trust involved estate and asset management support, while roles at Your Homes Newcastle included contributions to business strategy, project administration, and mentoring. Educationally, Rebecca holds an MSc and PG Cert in Sustainability and Environmental Management from the University of Derby, as well as an M.A. in Business Management and a BA (hons) in Archaeology from Northumbria University and Newcastle University, respectively.
