Brian Kelley

Brian Kelley has extensive experience in journalism, currently serving as an Editor and Metro Editor at The Roanoke Times since July 2002, where management of a team of reporters focuses on community news in the Roanoke metro area and political reporting from Richmond. Previously, Brian held the position of Business Reporter, covering utilities, manufacturing, and economic development, and transitioned to overseeing the newspaper's business coverage in 2008 after several years supervising local government and politics beat reporters. Prior to that, Brian worked as an Assistant Editor at the Roanoke Times from March 1996 to July 2002, specifically in the New River Valley bureau. Brian Kelley holds a BA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
