L.B. Wood has extensive experience in sports and property management, currently serving as a Sports Editorial Assistant at The Roanoke Times since September 2013, while also managing residential properties through ELC, LLC & C&W Associates since March 1999. Previous roles include working as a security personnel at the Salem Civic Center from October 2013 to March 2015 and officiating college basketball for the NCAA from October 1981 to March 2006, including a position as an observer of officials for Virginia Tech home games in the ACC. L.B. Wood holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Lynchburg, earned between 1970 and 1974.
