Michael Jensen

Mr Jensen is a Managing Director and member of the Africa Private Markets investment team. He is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Before joining TRG in April 2023, Mr. Jensen was a Partner in the Ethos Large Equity Fund, which was acquired by TRG in April 2023.

During his 16-year tenure at Ethos, Mr. Jensen was integrally involved in several acquisitions covering financial services, consumer retail and wholesale, industrial services, manufacturing, FMCG and fintech. He has exited businesses to financial buyers, trade sales and through IPOs. He currently sits on the boards of Neopak, Eazi Access, Twinsaver, Autozone and Optasia (formerly ChannelVas). Before joining Ethos, Mr. Jensen spent 5 years at Deloitte which included 3 years in their Financial Services Advisory division.

Mr. Jensen is a CA(SA) and a CFA Charterholder.
