Michoel Shapiro is an experienced educator and martial arts instructor, currently self-employed as the Head Instructor of Krav Maga and Haganah since 2012. With a teaching background dating back to 2006, Michoel has taught at various venues, emphasizing realistic self-protection skills alongside spiritual values. Additionally, Michoel serves as the Department Head for JLI Teens at The Rohr Jewish Learning Institute, where responsibilities include overseeing curriculum development and empowering teenagers through Jewish education. Prior to this, Michoel was the Director of Education and Assistant Rabbi at Chabad At La Costa, managing a wide range of educational initiatives and community services. Michoel's academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Theology/Theological Studies from the Rabbinical College of America.

The mission of the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute is to inspire Jewish learning worldwide and to transform Jewish life and the greater community through Torah study. Our goal is to create a global network of informed students connected by bonds of shared Jewish experience. JLI is associated with Merkos L'Inyanei Chinuch, the educational arm of Chabad-Lubavitch.
