A passionate educator who believes deeply in Ross School’s commitment to the whole child, Mark first joined the Ross community in 2002. During the next eight years, he was a high school English teacher, the Chair of the English Domain, and, from 2006–2010, the Director of the High School. After being immersed in Ross’s global curriculum, Mark decided to experience international education, and in 2012, he moved to Germany where he was the Middle and High School Principal at the International School of Hamburg. He then moved to the Czech Republic, where he spent seven years as the High School Principal at the International School of Prague. In 2019, Mark moved to Kobe, Japan, where he was the Middle and High School Principal at Canadian Academy. Mark rejoined Ross in 2022 and is excited to again be a part of such a unique and dynamic learning community. Mark earned his B.A. from Wesleyan University, his M.A. from San Francisco State University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Buffalo.
