Alexander Torrey

Alexander Torrey is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Rounds, a data-driven brand strategy company. Prior to The Rounds, Alexander was the Senior Director, Strategy Lead at DDB/We Are Unlimited, where they worked on McDonald’s data-driven brand strategy. From May 2019 to August 2019, they were the Entrepreneur In Residence at Techstars. Before that, from March 2017 to June 2018, they were the VP, Head of Strategy at Dentsu/MKTG, where they worked on consumer experience and retail strategy for Nike, Apple/Beats, and Gatorade.

From January 2013 to December 2017, Alexander was the Co-Founder and CEO of umano clothing. Alexander started the company in their parents’ garage in 2013 and got into Bloomingdale’s stores in 2014. In 2015, they appeared on Shark Tank and pitched their vision for e-commerce 2.0. The company failed to reach "escape velocity" in 2017 and closed its doors.

Prior to umano clothing, Alexander worked as an analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency from 2010 to 2013.

Alexander Torrey is currently an MBA candidate at The Wharton School. Alexander holds a BBA in Economics and a BBA in Marketing from University of Georgia's Terry College of Business.
