Cllr James Giles

Cllr James Giles currently serves as Chief of Staff to Ayoub Khan MP and Parliamentary Advisor to Adnan Hussain MP at the House of Commons, a position held since March 2024. Additionally, Cllr Giles has been an Independent Councillor for Green Lane and St James Ward in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames since May 2022 and assumed the role of Leader of the Opposition on Kingston Council in November 2023. In May 2024, Cllr Giles became a General Assembly Member for Kingston upon Thames at the Local Government Association, and previously served as a Board Member for the Community Wellbeing Board and as a Substitute Member of the Cities and Regions Board from September 2022 to December 2023. Cllr Giles is an alumnus of Royal Holloway, University of London.
