Gemma Blunt

Gemma Blunt serves as the Corporate Head of Service for the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames since April 2019. Previously, Gemma held the position of Head of Hospital Discharge Transformation at South West London Integrated Care System from December 2022 to June 2023 during a six-month secondment. Prior roles include Interim Service Manager and Safeguarding Adults and DOLS Manager at the London Borough of Merton from November 2016 to April 2019, as well as Safeguarding Adults and Vulnerable Adult Lead at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust between June 2015 and November 2016. Gemma's experience also includes a long tenure at the London Borough of Merton where responsibilities encompassed Lead Social Worker for Safeguarding Adults and Best Interest Assessor, along with earlier social work positions at Surrey County Council. Gemma's educational background features a Master's degree in Professional Education and Training in Human Services from Kingston University, alongside various relevant qualifications from other institutions, including a diploma in Social Work from the University of Sussex.
