Alison Cutts is an experienced botanical and scientific illustrator, actively illustrating plant and animal subjects in both color and black and white for various publications and design projects since August 2004. Currently, Alison serves as a tutor in botanical and natural history illustration for the Natural History Society of Northumbria and the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, a role undertaken since January 2019 and March 2020, respectively. Alison also has a history of academic involvement as a lecturer at Newcastle University from January 2007 to August 2016. Alison holds a BSc Hons in Zoology/Animal Biology and a PhD in Biomechanics from the University of Leeds, as well as a diploma in Botanical Illustration from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
