Caitlyn Johnstone

Caitlyn Johnstone currently serves as a Lichenologist at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh since October 2022. Previously, Caitlyn worked as a Science Writer and Advisor at the Chesapeake Bay Program from January 2018 to August 2021, and held roles in outreach and communications at the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay during the same period. Earlier experience includes serving as a Botanical Data Specialist at Haggie IVM, where contributions included the creation of the Pollinator Site Value Index, and as a Project Manager for Digital Brand Services at Corporation Service Company. Caitlyn's teaching experience includes a role as an SAT Teacher at Kaplan Test Prep. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Biodiversity and the Taxonomy of Plants from The University of Edinburgh and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Psychology from West Virginia University.
