Matt Elliot

Matt Elliot is an experienced Plant Health & Biosecurity Scientist at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh since July 2021. Previously, Matt served as a Policy Advocate for Tree Health & Invasives at The Woodland Trust from February 2016 to July 2021 and worked as a Forest Pathologist at Forest Research from April 2013 to January 2016. Additionally, Matt held the position of Research Scientist with the Scottish Government from September 2012 to May 2013. Matt Elliot earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Pathology/Phytopathology from the University of St Andrews between 2009 and 2012.
