Steven Ramsay

Principal Scientist at The Royal Children's Hospital

Steven Ramsay has held various roles in the field of scientific consulting and management. Starting at Biocrates Life Sciences AG as a Director in 2003, they then became a Managing Scientist at CSL Ltd, where they led a product characterization group for recombinant protein therapies. In 2010, they joined Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital as a Scientific Consultant, and in 2018, they became a Senior Scientist at NSW Pathology, Prince of Wales, Clinical Chemistry, managing a team and developing LCMS-based clinical services. Most recently, in 2019, they took on the role of Principal Scientist at The Royal Children's Hospital.

Steven Ramsay obtained a PhD in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry from The Australian National University in the period between 1994 and 1998. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science - BS Hons in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Adelaide, completing their studies from 1989 to 1994.
