Allon Barsam

Allon Barsam is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with extensive experience in advanced laser and lens vision correction, cataract surgery, and corneal surgery. Currently serving as a Council Member for both UKISCRS and the British Society of Refractive Surgery, Barsam is also the Director and Founding Partner of OCL Vision since December 2018. The professional background includes roles as an Examiner for Certification in Laser and Lens Refractive Surgery at The Royal College of Ophthalmologists and as a Peer Review Section Editor for Cataract and Refractive Surgery Today. Former positions include consulting for multiple hospitals and establishing a Tertiary Centre of Excellence at L&D University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Barsam's research interests encompass high myopia treatment, keratoconus, cataract surgery advancements, and dry eye treatment. Educational qualifications include MBBS degrees from the University of Cambridge and University College London Medical School, as well as fellowship credentials from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and the World College of Refractive Surgery.
