George M Saleh

Virtual And Augmented Reality Lead at The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth)

George M Saleh is an experienced ophthalmology professional currently serving as Chair of the Cataract, Optometry, Refractive, and Cornea Clinical Specialty Group at NHS since September 2021. Saleh holds the position of Virtual and Augmented Reality Lead at The Royal College of Ophthalmologists and is a WEISS Senior Clinical Fellow at UCL, both of which have been maintained since May 2021 and January 2021, respectively. As a Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey since January 2016, Saleh has contributed to research streams funded by EPSRC and Innovations Award focused on Diabetic Retinopathy, Cataract Surgery, and Oculoplastic Surgery. Additionally, Saleh has been an NIHR Faculty Investigator and Joint Specialty Lead since January 2013 and serves as Director of Simulation Training at Moorfields Eye Hospital since August 2011. George M Saleh completed a Fellowship and obtained a degree with 1st Class Honours from UCL, with prior education at Imperial College London from 1994 to 2000.
