Faruque Ghanchi is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon currently affiliated with the Yorkshire Clinic and Bradford Teaching Hospitals since December 1999, and has served as the Head of Clinical Research at Bradford Ophthalmology Research Network since June 2008. In an academic capacity, Faruque Ghanchi is an Honorary Visiting Professor at the University of Bradford and a Hon. Senior Lecturer and Associate Sub-Dean at the University of Leeds. Additionally, Faruque Ghanchi is a Co-Founder of the Yorkshire Retina Society and serves in editorial roles, including as Section Editor for the journal Eye and Editor of FOCUS at The Royal College of Ophthalmologists. Faruque Ghanchi's leadership in clinical research is further demonstrated through a clinical lead role at NIHR CRN Yorkshire & Humber and prior involvement as Lead for Industry Studies at NIHR CRN Ophthalmology. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Medical Ethics and Law from the University of Glasgow and a Master's degree from the M&J Institute of Ophthalmology's Residency Program.
