Nicola Cunningham currently serves as the Deputy Director of Emergency Medicine and an Emergency Medicine Physician at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, a position held since 2006. Additionally, Nicola is actively involved in various leadership roles including Vice Chair and Board Member of the Women's Health Education Network, Director at Fidelis Forensics, and Community Representative on the Board Quality, Safety and Clinical Governance Committee at Merri Health. As a Patient Safety Education Lead at Monash University's School of Medicine and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne, Nicola contributes to academia as well. A founding fellow and Chief Examiner of the Faculty of Clinical Forensic Medicine at The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, Nicola also participates as an Academy Member on the Patient Safety Review Team at Safer Care Victoria. Furthermore, Nicola co-founded The Communiqués, focusing on educational publications and podcasts related to clinical practice improvements.
