Archana Sasitharan

Archana Sasitharan is currently engaged in General Practice Specialty Training at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust since August 2023, focusing on Public Health, General Psychiatry, and General Practice. Additionally, Archana serves as a Content Reviewer for the Clinical Medicine Journal at the Royal College of Physicians, involved in peer reviewing articles for Foundation Doctors. Prior experience includes roles as a Data Manager at The Institute of Cancer Research and a Bank SHO at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, where responsibilities encompassed General Internal Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Archana has also completed a Foundation Year 2 Doctor position specializing in Paediatrics and General Practice, as well as a Foundation Year 1 Doctor role with experience in General Surgery, General Psychiatry, and Respiratory Medicine. Archana holds a Master's degree in Medical Education from UCL and an MBBS from Queen Mary University of London, along with a Bachelor of Medical Sciences in Molecular Therapeutics. Leadership experience includes serving as Vice President of The Doctors' MESS.
