Jim Baxter is an experienced Health and Safety professional with a diverse background in various roles. Currently serving as a Health and Safety Officer at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh since June 2016 and as a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor at National Oilwell Varco since June 2013, Jim specializes in providing HSE guidance, risk assessment compilation, and COSHH assessments. Previous roles include Head of Technical Services at Scotshield Limited, where responsibilities included health and safety advising and the development of a Quality Management System to ISO9001:2008, as well as temporary teaching positions in percussion at Cargilfield Private Prep School and Glenalmond Private College. Jim's career began in engineering services management at RoMEC and is supported by a robust educational foundation, including an Ordinary National Certificate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Napier College Edinburgh and a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety from GTG Training College.
