Luai A. Obeid, PMP®PMI-RMP® has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Currently, they are working as a Procurement Lead at The Royal Commission for AlUla, where they analyze and interprets procurement policies and guidelines and provides solutions to procurement-related issues.

Prior to this, Luai served as a Club Growth Director at Toastmasters International, where they were responsible for club expansion and growth. Luai also held the role of Area 38 Director at Toastmasters International, overseeing the organization's operations within a specific area.

Additionally, Luai worked at SABIC for several years in various roles. Luai worked as a Sr. Buyer in Facility Services and Electrical, Mechanical, and Instruments (Services), where they managed procurement activities. Luai also worked as a Specialist Buyer in MRO (Materials), responsible for purchasing maintenance, repair, and operations materials. Prior to this, they served as an Analyst in OSDR Warehouse Quality Management and as a Sr. Warehouse Technician.

Before joining SABIC, Luai gained experience as a Barista at dr.CAFE® COFFEE SAUDI ARABIA and as an Assistant-Driller at Schlumberger. Luai also had a cooperative education experience at SABIC and worked as an Invoice Processor during a summer job at Kudu Corp.

Luai A. Obeid, PMP®PMI-RMP®, has a diverse educational background. Luai completed an Executive Education program in Learning to Lead at INSEAD in 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Engineering Management from the University of Lincoln, where they studied from 2016 to 2019. Earlier in their educational journey, Luai earned an Associate's degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Jubail University College, graduating in 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Luai has also acquired several certifications. These include the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) designation from Toastmasters International, obtained in 2023. In 2022, they became a Certified International Procurement Professional through IPSCMI. Furthermore, they have attained various certifications such as PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2021, and a Certificate in Customer Experience Management accredited by CPD from the Atton Institute in the same year. Luai has also completed multiple online courses and workshops related to project management, leadership, finance, and technology, among others.
