Matthew Masson

Matthew Masson is an experienced audio professional currently serving as Deputy Head of Sound at Royal Exchange Theatre since May 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Technical Manager at Royal Court Liverpool Trust Limited, Senior Sound Technician at Octagon Theatre Bolton, and Sound Technician at Royal Exchange Theatre. Matthew's diverse portfolio also features work as a Sound Designer at Stagedoor Manor in New York and various positions in the UK, including Deputy Theatre Technician at Harlow Playhouse. Matthew began the career journey after earning a Bachelor of Science Honours in Audio Engineering from UHI, which followed an educational foundation at Grove Academy.
