Alistair Griffiths is the Director of Science & Collections at the Royal Horticultural Society, a position held since June 2013. Prior to this role, Alistair served as the Head of Science at the Eden Project from April 1999 to May 2013. Alistair's academic qualifications include a Visiting Professorship in Horticultural Science at Royal Holloway, University of London, from 2017 to 2020, a Ph.D. in Botany/Plant Biology from the University of Reading (1999-2003), and a B.Sc. in Botany/Plant Biology from the same institution (1995-1998). Alistair also holds a National Diploma and a First Diploma in Horticulture from Myerscough College, attended from 1991 to 1995 and 1991 to 1992, respectively.
