Rebecca Scott

Rebecca Scott has extensive experience in legal roles, specifically in the field of telecommunications. Rebecca is currently the Head of Legal at the Royal Horticultural Society, a position they started in September 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Head of Legal & Assurance at Comic Relief from April 2022 to September 2022. Previously, they served as the Head of Legal & Risk at Samaritans from January 2021 to April 2022. Rebecca also has experience as the General Counsel at Comic Relief, where they were responsible for all legal issues and led the legal team from October 2019 to September 2020. Before joining Comic Relief, they held various legal roles at BT, including General Counsel for Wholesale & Ventures and Core Legal Services, and Head of BT Wholesale Major Transactions. Rebecca began their legal career as a Senior Associate at Mallesons Stephen Jaques, specializing in telecoms, IT, IP, commercial, and corporate law. Rebecca also worked as a Solicitor at Linklaters.

Rebecca Scott attended the University of Cambridge from 1992 to 1995, where they received a degree in Geography. Rebecca then pursued Common Practice Examination in Law at Northumbria University from 1995 to 1996. Afterward, they completed their Legal Practice Course, also at Northumbria University, from 1996 to 1997.
