Dr. Charlotte Harris MBchB(Hons) FRNZCGP is an experienced medical professional with notable roles in various health organizations. Currently, Dr. Harris serves as a member of the Northern Region Transgender Clinical Governance Group and the Northern Region Clinical Governance Group at Te Whatu Ora | Te Toka Tumai Auckland since October 2018, along with being a Covid-19 CTAG Member for the Northern Region Health Co-ordination Centre. Other significant positions include Clinical Director at Auckland PHO, Clinical Lead for Auckland Regional Healthpathways, and involvement in national health initiatives through the Ministry of Health New Zealand. Dr. Harris holds a longstanding role as a General Practitioner with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners since 2007 and has contributed to various healthcare boards and committees, including the Clinical Governance Board at MedScreen and advisory roles at Goodfellow and Tennis New Zealand. Dr. Harris obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Liverpool from 2000 to 2005.

The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners is the largest medical college in New Zealand. We have around 5,500 members, who represent close to 90 percent of the country’s GPs. The College's overall goal to improve the health of New Zealanders through high quality general practice care. We do this by providing training, ongoing education, research, advocacy and support for general practitioners and and rural hospital generalists. We also set standards (CORNERSTONE accreditation) for general practices across the country. The College has a commitment to embed the three principles (participation, partnership and protection) of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (Treaty of Waitangi) across its work, and to achieving health equity in New Zealand.
