Charlotte Surman is a seasoned professional in corporate partnerships and development, currently serving as the Head of Corporate Partnerships (Maternity Cover) at the Royal Shakespeare Company since September 2025. Prior to this role, Charlotte held the position of Senior Corporate Development Manager at the National Theatre from July 2017 to August 2025. Charlotte's career in development began at Bush Theatre as a Development Intern, followed by roles at Shakespeare's Globe, Rambert, and the Institute of Contemporary Arts, gradually progressing through various positions including Corporate Development Manager at Centrepoint and Corporate Manager at the Design Museum. Charlotte holds a 2:1 BA in English Literature from the University of Hull, completed in 2009, and is an alumnus of King Edward VI School, attended from 2001 to 2006.
